Have you ever seen other people's dogs follow instructions to act? Such as rolling, ringing the bell, playing dead. At this time, have you also sighed: What a smart dog, if only my Teddy could be so good. How to train a Teddy to roll? Three easy steps to success!
Get ready for training

Find a suitable training room. The dog training room should be comfortable and distraction-free. Once the teddy learns to roll in a quiet room, it can be taken outdoors or in public for training. Have snacks in hand. Teddy has a passion for pleasing people, and with food in return, he will learn hard. Use dog treats, tiger skin peanuts, ham, bacon or any other food your teddy likes. Snacks should be prepared, because it takes a lot of practice for Teddy to learn to roll.
Make a roll call
Make Teddy lie down. First let Teddy know how to lie down. Teaching Teddy to lie down is the first step in teaching him to roll, because rolling starts from the lying position. The standard action for lying down is with the abdomen close to the ground, the forelegs extended forward, and the head raised. It's easy to roll in this position without hurting yourself. Bring the food to the top of its head and say roll in a clear, friendly tone. Draw an arc with the food from the top of the head to the floor so that Teddy's head turns with the food, and his body will follow. This technique is a bit difficult for Teddy and requires a lot of practice. The key to success is getting Teddy to connect the scrolling action with the verbal instructions. If the teddy rolls successfully, it will be rewarded, even if the teddy rolls with your help, you have to reward it, and we also need to tap and say good boy.
Intensive training
Continue training until Teddy doesn't need your help. After a few tries, Teddy can roll on his own so you don't have to put food on his head. Stand up and command your teddy to roll, and if it can roll on its own, reward it. Keep practicing until Teddy can do the rolling for free. Some very obedient teddies quickly learn to roll for free, and a pat on the head and praise is enough. Say some other commands and finally say roll away and let Teddy have a cute show time. Let your teddy practice in a stressful environment. After your teddy learns to roll in the living room, you can take it outdoors. After the outdoor activity, try rewarding training first, then no reward, and finally training with someone present.
