In summer, the temperature is high and the air is relatively humid, which makes the cat's food vulnerable to various molds and intestinal bacteria. Summer dietary hygiene is a focus of daily management. The whole body of cats is covered with hair. Except for a small amount of sweat glands distributed on the toes, the rest of the body surface lacks sweat glands, so the regulation function of heat is poor.
In summer, cats do not easily dissipate body heat and are prone to heat stroke, especially long-haired breeds cats. Therefore, heat stroke in summer is another big threat to cats, so cats should be provided with a dry, cool, ventilated living environment without direct sunlight.
1. The food to be fed to the cat must be fresh. Do not feed the cat with rotten or spoiled food.
2. Cat food should be heated and cooked in summer to kill pathogenic microorganisms in the food and destroy some bacterial toxins; do not let cats eat raw food to prevent food poisoning.
3. In summer, the weather is hot, and the cat's appetite is often poor, so it is necessary to appropriately control the feeding amount. If it is not properly controlled, the cat often can't finish eating, and there is leftover food in each meal, causing waste. If the cat eats too much food, indigestion or acute gastroenteritis may occur.
4. The leftover food of each meal must be removed from the utensils before feeding, and should not be reused. The utensils also need to be cleaned before use.
