Map fish (Astronotus ocellatus), commonly known as larvae and starfish, is native to the Amazon River in South America. The classification belongs to the class of Bonefish, Euryphae, Perciformes, Cichlid, and Cichlid.

Map fish does not have strict requirements on water quality, and can live normally in weakly acidic, neutral and slightly alkaline water. The water temperature is required to be between 22 and 28 °C.
