In the production of rabbits, it is often encountered that some female rabbits show labor behavior 16 to 18 days after mating. The female rabbit's udder swells, and starts to hold grass and pull hair to make a nest, but after waiting for a few days, there is no Baby rabbits are born, this phenomenon is pseudopregnancy. Pseudopregnancy not only delays the breeding of young rabbits, but also affects and consumes the physical strength of female rabbits, resulting in economic losses. To reduce or prevent false pregnancy, the following measures can be taken:
1. For breeding rabbits, first establish the pedigree by grouping and numbering them. There are records of mating and calving, so that close relatives are not compatible, immature is not compatible, and the molting peak is not compatible with hot weather such as wind, rain and snow.
2. The method of repeated breeding and double breeding is adopted. Generally, the breeding rabbit farm adopts the repeated breeding method, that is, the same male rabbit is used for the second breeding 5 to 6 hours after the first breeding. . Commercial rabbit farms can adopt double breeding method, that is, 15 minutes after the first male rabbit is mated, another male rabbit is used to mate once. Long-term useless male rabbits must be recombined within 6 to 8 hours after breeding.
3. Strengthen feeding and management, do a good job in cleaning and disinfection, increase exercise time for breeding rabbits, and prevent excessive obesity. Do not capture or pet the female rabbit at will. In addition to prompting female rabbits to come into estrus, generally do not let the test male rabbits chase and climb across female rabbits at will. Breeding female rabbits should be kept in separate cages, keeping one rabbit in one cage to prevent some female rabbits from climbing over other female rabbits after they are in heat.
4. The female rabbit should be re-bred 5-7 days after mating, and the fetus should be checked at 10-12 days, so as to make up in time and prevent infertility or false pregnancy
