Head (Head, Face, Eyes, Ears, Nose, Mouth, Muzzle, Jaws, Teeth)
Head: Conspicuous, straight, in line with the body Proportion. The length must be slightly greater than 2/5 of the height at the withers. Not too heavy or too large, but not too delicate either. Under the skin needs to be angular. Skull: Conspicuous in shape; width less than half of head length (median axis forms an axial angle of about 16 to 18 degrees). Viewed from above, the entire skull is longitudinally oval with a slightly raised profile. The vertical axis diverges slightly. Eyes arched above; moderately conspicuous and covered with long hair. Wrinkled forehead, wide between the eyes, tapering towards the occiput, very pronounced (miniatures are less pronounced). Stop: As in dogs of medium stature, barely noticeable. Nose: Conspicuous and well developed, with vertical occiput; nostrils open. Black, white and grey Poodles have a black nose; tan poodles have a tan; apricot poodles have a tan throughout the dark brown range, may also be black, no The best colors are acceptable, but avoid possible fading. Muzzle: Straight in outline; muzzle is approximately 9/10 of the length of the skull. The two branches of the lower jaw protrude almost parallel. The lower jaw, rather than the edge of the upper lip, outlines the lower profile of the muzzle. Lips: Lightly developed, fairly tight, of medium thickness, the upper lip rests on the lower lip and does not exceed the lower lip. Black, white, and gray dogs have black lips; apricot dogs have the entire tan range, and possibly black, no optimal color is acceptable. The corners of the mouth must be pronounced. Jaws/Teeth: Normal position with strong teeth. A lack of a first or second molar in the upper jaw and a lack of a second or third molar in the lower jaw is not penalized in judging or breeding selection. Face: Not significant. Outline the shape by the cheekbones. The outer eye sockets are well-defined but only slightly inward. Muscles of mastication and anatomical base of cheeks are slightly developed; cheekbones have very slight arching. Eyes: With an eager expression, set at the level of the stop, slightly slanted. The contours of the eyelids give the eyes an almond shape. The eyes are black or dark brown in black, white and grey poodles and apricot poodles; dark amber in brown poodles. Ears: Very long, hanging down the sides of the cheeks, on an extended line from the top of the nose and below the outer corner of the eyes, flat, widened at the back of the ears, rounded at the tips, covered with long curly hair. Poodles whose ears do not reach the corners of the mouth are not considered excellent.
Trunk (neck, chest, ribs, loin and back, front of body, skin)
Neck: Strong, slightly arched at the back of the neck, of medium length and well proportioned. Enough to hold the head up honorably. No wattle. Ellipse where neck meets; length below that of head. Body: The overall torso appearance of the Poodle is well proportioned, and the length of the torso is usually greater than the height at the withers. Shoulders: Moderately developed Back: Topline short and harmonious. Neither arched nor collapsed. The height from the ground to the withers is about the same as the height from the ground to the hips. Loin: Firm and muscular. Hips; rounded but not sloping. Chest: Descending to elbow level, width equal to 2/3 of depth (from spine to sternum). The circumference of the ribcage, measured from below the shoulder, should be at least 10 cm greater than the height at the withers of the Maroon. Ribs: The rib cage is oval, broad at the back. Prothorax: Normal size; the end of the sternum must be slightly protruding, set fairly high, so that the head can be raised in a dignified height. Belly: folded but not excessive.
Limbs (Forerunners, Shoulders, Upper Limbs, Bone Joints, Bone Joints, Paws, Hindquarters, Thighs, Hocks, Joints, and Hock Nails)
Forequarters: The front legs are very straight, parallel to each other, elegant, well muscled and well boned. Elbow-to-ground height is 5/9 of Malone's shoulder-to-ground height. Shoulders: Sloped and well muscled. The scapula and upper extremity form an angle of 90° to 110°. Upper Arm: The length of the upper body corresponds to the length of the shoulder blade. Bones: Strong, but not huge, with an almost straight profile. Feet: Rather small, thick and oval in shape. The toes are distinctly arched, strong, compact, webbed, and firmly attached to the hard, thick pads. Black and gray, the toenails of black dogs are black, the toenails of brown dogs are brown, and the toenails of white dogs may be a whole series of horny colors from deep to black, which must be consistent with their coat color. White toenails are still disqualified. Toenails in apricot dogs range in color from dark brown to black, with no optimum color, and all colors in between are acceptable. Hindquarters: Viewed from behind, the hind legs are straight, parallel to each other, well muscled and very pronounced. The hock joints are clearly angled. The lumbar-femur angle and the tibia-tarsal angle must be very pronounced to avoid tilting the hips in some leg upright situations. Thighs: Muscular and strong. Hocks: Vertical. Poodles should not be born with dewclaws on their hind legs.
Tail: Set fairly high at waist level. Truncated at 1/3 of the body, or half the natural length of the tail for the Curly Poodle. But a long, raised tail is not a disqualification. The Corduroy Poodle can retain the entire length of the tail. The tail is tilted up and raised during movement.
Gait: The pace is light and brisk, never flowing or extending.
Disqualification Conditions
Defects: Any deviation from the above points is considered a defect, and any dog that appears to be physically or behaviorally abnormal is a disqualification. · Small nose with inconspicuous opening of nostrils, or nose that is too large · Colorless or spotted nose, pink nose · Muzzle too thin or too pointed, protruding bridge of the nose Yellow teeth due to warmth do not disqualify if they are aligned properly.
