We know that pet cats undergo significant physical and personality changes when they are in heat. Cats become in heat after they reach sexual maturity. Generally, between the ages of 6-12 months, cats will be in heat. Specific to the female cat's sexual maturity time, the precocious ones are 4 or 5 months, and the late ones can reach about 1.5 years old. The sexual maturity of male cats is relatively late, but some male cats also produce sperm in the stool of 4 or 5 months.

Generally speaking, male cats usually come into heat once every other week for seven to ten days. When in heat, the male cat may roll or wriggle on the floor first, some will growl in a low voice, or leave urine in the corner of the house to attract the female cat. A male cat that is in heat will raise his tail high, shake quickly, and at the same time a stream of urine will hit the wall.
The estrus period is the fertile period of the female cat. Generally, female cats come into heat every two to three months. Of course, the number of estrus of female cats will vary due to breed, environment, physique, and age. The female cat's meow will become lower, the number of meowing will increase, she will become very friendly to people, and she will also use her body to rub people or objects, or roll on the ground. Some female cats urinate all over the floor when they are in heat, which is relatively rare.
And the female cat will be in heat every 2-3 weeks until the mating is successful. When in heat, the performance is rolling and howling. Tap the base of the female cat's tail with your hand, and she will instinctively cock her hips. Strictly speaking, we do not recommend mating cats when a female cat is in heat for the first time. Because many cats are only sexually mature when they are in heat for the first time, and their bodies are not yet mature. Generally, normal mating of cats can be carried out when the cat is in the second estrus.
