Characteristics

The grey-bellied green snake has a longer head and a distinct neck. Upper lip scales 8 (2-3-3), no cheek scales, preorbital scales 1, retroorbital scales 2, temporal scales 2(1)+3(3), dorsal scales 19(21)-19(17)-15 (13), except for a few rows of micro-ribs in the center, the rest are smooth, with 208-224 ventral scales, 2 anal scales, 108-151 pairs of lower caudal scales, green back (larval tan), 1 black vertical on each front and back Stripes, the ventral surface is light yellow or light gray, and both sides of the ventral scales are white.
