The full length of the sharp-beaked snake is between 1130 and 1283 mm. The head is long and clearly distinguished from the neck; the snout is pointed and protrudes to the front and top of the back, forming a cone (so it is called a cone snout), and the cone is covered with many small scales; the snake has a long body and a long tail. The back of the adult is green, the upper lip is yellow-white, and the free margin of the ventral scales is gray-white, with lateral edges. The larvae are golden yellow on the back and light yellow on the ventral surface.
