Northern melanoma map turtles go into hibernation one after another after the frost in October. In November, when the water temperature is 13 ℃, the turtle enters hibernation and is slow to respond to touch, vibration and stimulation. In January of the following year, when the water temperature is below 10 ℃, the turtle enters deep hibernation without excretion.
