The Burmese star turtle cannot hibernate. The habitat of the Burmese star tortoise is similar to that of the common Indian star tortoise, preferring to inhabit warm and dry woods, grasslands or environments full of dirt. The daytime temperature in summer should be controlled at 31-33°C, and the night should be controlled at around 24°C; the daytime temperature in spring, autumn and winter should be around 24°C; the night temperature should be around 21°C. Burmese star turtles are prone to pneumonia, and the temperature is best kept well.

When feeding, be sure to pay attention to lighting. Lighting is very important for the feeding of the Burmese star turtle, because the Burmese star turtle needs lighting to warm itself. Ordinary light bulbs can be used as lighting equipment and heat sources for the Burmese star tortoise; an ultraviolet lamp is also required to provide ultraviolet light for the Burmese star tortoise, because the Burmese star tortoise needs to absorb ultraviolet rays to supplement vitamin D3 for itself. Of course, if you use sunlight to illuminate the Burmese star turtle, you can kill two birds with one stone.
