When a novice raises the chief short snapper, the water temperature should be controlled between 25-27℃, and the temperature difference should not be too large. The most suitable water quality for its growth is weakly acidic soft water, the pH value should be controlled between 5-6, and the hardness value should be between 2-6. It prefers to live in old water, so it does not need to be replaced frequently during the breeding process. As a general rule, changing the water every ten days is sufficient. Every time you change the water, you can't change too much, just change about a quarter.

There are many foods that the chief short snapper can eat, such as red worms, earthworms, small River shrimp meat or high-quality fish feed can be fed. The frequency of feeding should not be too high, usually twice a day. Don't feed them too much, it's best to let them eat within 5-10 minutes. Pay attention to the amount of feeding each time you feed, do not overdo it.
