The lifespan of a sling is generally around 3-7 years, and the way the sling is raised has a great impact on its lifespan. The scorpion is a herbivorous fish and feeds animal bait, but it is necessary to provide enough plant bait such as seagrass and seaweed. When raising a sling, it must be raised in a 600-liter aquarium at least, and there must be enough swimming space. The temperature in the aquarium should be controlled within the range of 23-27 °C, and the PH value should be maintained. Between 8.1-8.4, the salinity should be controlled between 1.020-1.025.

The maximum length of the sling in the aquarium can be Up to 35cm, hanging juvenile, yellow body, only a very pale blue spot between the anal and dorsal fins. After hanging into a fish, the front half of the body turns bright gray, and the back half of the body turns dark gray-blue. Orange markings with dark grey edges appear above the pectoral fins. The tail becomes a swallowtail.
