The lower body is from the chin to the anus, including the inside of the limbs, with white hair with dark gray hair base; no black hair mixed with the body side, so the color is bright. The dorsum of the alpine mouse is gray. The tail is two-colored, gradually turning from black-brown to white on the ventral surface; the tail hair is short, thin and sparse, failing to cover the scales. Some individuals have bright orange-yellow hair areas at the base of the tail and the junction of the inside of the limbs.
