Leaf-nosed snakes are small burrowing snakes, belonging to the Serpentidae family, with a total of 4 species, each of which has a subspecies. Divided into leaf-nosed snakes and split-nosed snakes, the two species of leaf-nosed snakes are distributed in the desert jungles of the southwestern United States and Mexico. They come out at night to hunt lizards and insects. Two species of Schizophrenia are found in arid regions of northern Africa and southwestern Asia.
