II. Appearance characteristics
The body color of the Texas map turtle is olive; the head is narrow; the snout is slightly prominent; the eye sockets Orange or yellow stripes on the back, longitudinal or J shape; 3-6 thin yellow stripes on each side of the neck that extend forward through the tympanic membrane to the eye sockets; usually 1 orange or Yellow stripes with black borders.
The carapace is oval in shape; the central crest on the back has a lower and pointed tubercle, and the anterior part of the tubercle is yellow; the carapace scutellum has obvious depressions, and some yellow nets are mixed Stripes; rear edge of carapace is serrated.

3. Breeding method
