II. Morphological characteristics
Indian black langur body length is 49-71 cm, tail length is 69-97 cm, and weight is 9.8-13.6 kg. They have a very smooth dark brown coat, thick golden brown hair on the head, white highlights on the rump and base of the tail, and white areas on the inner thighs of female monkeys.
Newborn pups weigh around 0.5 kg and have pale pink skin and dark red fur, reaching full adult coloration at three months.
III. Living habits
The Indian black langur population is generally composed of one male and up to 23 females and juvenile monkeys. Active in forests, herbivorous, eating leaves of 102 plant species, as well as some fruits, flowers and seeds.

Indian black langur is distributed in India (Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu) .
Although Indian black langurs all live in forests, with the expansion of cities in India and the low awareness of local human nature protection, the number of Indian black langurs has also entered a vulnerable state. Hope the local humans and monkeys can live in harmony.
