Fennec is A nocturnal fox from the Sahara region of North Africa. They are also the smallest canines in the world. Their hair, ears, and kidney function are all built to adapt to the heat and water shortages of the desert.
Their large ears are a sign of their great hearing. Their hearing is sensitive enough to hear the movement of prey beneath the sand. Their main food is usually small insects and birds.
Each small family of fennec foxes controls their own territory. They often give birth only once a year. After mating, the fox man became a giant man, and he hurt his daughter-in-law unnecessarily. She took care of her daughter-in-law to eat and drink and protect her safety when she was pregnant. The gestation period is generally 50-52 days. They have about 1-4 babies in a litter, and the lactation period is about 70 days. At birth, babies have their ears folded and their eyes open. After 10 days, their eyes will open and their ears will stand up! The longest recorded lifespan of a fennec fox is 14 years.
Fennec fox has been included in the red list of conservation category by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. The reason they can't escape the claws of humans is that wealthy people in North Africa will grab and peel them to make fur. In some other parts of the world, they are captured as rare pets.
