Tibetan brown bears generally live alone and hibernate from late October or early November until March-April of the following year. When hibernating, look for more remote caves, and the time of falling asleep and awakening varies greatly. In order to accumulate about 50 kg of fat for the hibernation period, 400-600 kg of berries and other foods must be eaten in the fall. When winter is approaching, start preparing caves, choose those sunny areas with fallen trees and dead branches and weak cold winds, choose large tree holes or rock crevices to live in, and sometimes dig burrows on dry mounds on the swamp. Use dry grass, leaves, or moss as bedding in forepaw burrows.

Generally, each individual lives alone in a cave, and only females and cubs under the age of 3 live together. Before entering the cave, turn around the hole for a while, then jump into the hole, or step back into the nest, or mess up your footprints, so as not to be discovered by natural enemies, and you can better hide yourself. During hibernation, it mainly lives on the fat stored in the body, and if it is in danger, it will wake up at any time. On warmer days, there is sometimes a period of time outside the cave.
