In January 2021, pet iCHONG sampled 53,642 valid cases and produced the 2020 China Pet Health Report. The reported cases cover pet hospitals in 12 urban areas in China. The incidence of pets of different categories, ages, genders, and sizes has been statistically analyzed and monthly incidence statistics have been made.

The time distribution of pet illness visits
The time distribution of pet illness visits was relatively balanced. With the exception of February and December, the number of doctor visits fluctuated around the average.
Skin diseases are more common in summer and autumn.
Digestive system diseases mostly occur in the first half of the year.
Sterilization occurs mostly in spring and fall.
Common Canine Diseases
The top five canine disease visits are: skin diseases , Digestive system diseases, immune deworming, physical examination, respiratory system diseases.
Male dogs have lower rates of reproductive diseases and tumors. Female dogs have lower rates of ear canal disease.
Small dogs Digestive system diseases are the most common, followed by skin diseases and respiratory system diseases; skin diseases are more troublesome in medium dogs, The second is digestive system diseases; skin diseases are still the most common diseases in large dogs.
Puppies had a more average disease category; skin and urinary system diseases were common in both adult and older dogs.
The high incidence of canine disease is mainly before the age of 2 and after the age of 11. Among them, the causes of onset before the age of 2 are relatively scattered, and the incidence of cardiovascular diseases, tumors, urinary system diseases, and oral system diseases is relatively high after the age of 11.
Common Feline Diseases
The top five feline disease visits are: sterilization , immune deworming, physical examination, urinary system diseases, digestive system diseases. The proportion of visits for skin diseases and infectious diseases is very close to that of digestive system diseases.
Male cats have lower rates of reproductive diseases and tumors. Female cats have lower rates of ear canal disease, orthopedic disease, oral disease, and cardiovascular disease.
The need for sterilization, immune deworming and physical examination of kittens is greater; the top three requirements for adult cats are sterilization, urinary system diseases and immune deworming; elderly cats Urinary system diseases are more common, followed by digestive system diseases and oral diseases.
The high incidence of cat disease is mainly before the age of 2 years. The peak period of cat sterilization is from 1 to 2 years old; the high incidence of reproductive system diseases, cardiovascular diseases, oral diseases, and urinary system diseases are all during the age of 1 year. The high incidence of cardiovascular disease is at the age of 8 and 10, and the high incidence of oral diseases is after the age of 11.
