With the change of seasons, the dog hair will also have different changes and replacements. Although dogs of breeds do not change their coats at the same time, every year in late spring and early summer, dogs always shed their thick coats that keep them warm in winter. At this time, you should always take care of the fur, and use a brush or a comb with large tooth gaps to remove the hair. Otherwise, it is easy to get skin diseases due to humidity in the rainy season.

Causes

Imbalanced nutrition. It is one of the internal reasons why dogs are prone to skin diseases. Many people keep dogs, and they don't eat properly. They give them everything they eat. They also give dogs what people eat, including spare ribs and green vegetables. This is very bad. Eating salty food is bad for your dog's skin.

Dogs actually only need to eat dog food they buy. The dog food is nutritionally balanced, and the water should not be interrupted, which is enough. People who eat dog food for a long time have less skin diseases. Improper care and unbalanced nutrition can make it difficult for dogs to get skin diseases.

There are many types of dog skin diseases, including fungal infection, eczema, scale and mites infection, and so on. The hospital can confirm the rash and prescribe the right medicine by means of biopsy and other means. Many people think that the problems of dogs are similar to those of people, and they give medicine to dogs in the same way as people. This will delay the health of the dog.

In spring, the climate changes greatly, and the temperature difference between day and night is large, so dogs are prone to colds, colds and diarrhea. So be careful not to let the dog catch a cold. Now it is generally a companion dog, not a sporting dog. Especially young dogs, take them out at night, run wild and sweat. In most cases, colds and gastrointestinal diseases are caused by catching a cold after strenuous exercise. Be sure to walk the dog outdoors, try to keep it on a leash, and control its range of motion and amount of exercise.

Treatments for dog skin diseases:

Dilute salt water to clean problematic skin: For various skin diseases, we must give the dog before applying medicine Dogs clean the skin, iodine, alcohol, such as strong irritating bactericidal external medicines, must not be used, which will damage the dog's skin and make the skin disease worse. The mildest disinfectant that we can find at home that can clean the skin is light salt water, which can be prepared with normal saline or prepared by yourself (usually a spoonful of salt is dissolved in a glass of water). Sometimes we need to cut the dog's problematic skin and surrounding hair short first, and then rinse with salt water.

Combined with oral antibiotics: For some serious skin diseases, external use alone is not enough, and oral antibiotics are needed for adjuvant treatment. I usually give dogs amoxicillin (reference dosage: 12-22mg/kg) body weight, 2-3 times a day).

Combined with oral vitamin B: If you don't have a multivitamin at home, you can buy vitamin B2 pills. Because vitamin B is very good for skin growth (I don't know the specific principle), for many dogs with skin problems, doctors will recommend that you buy a bottle of dog's vitamin B complex as an adjuvant treatment.
