Bath prep tools: Pets body wash, absorbent towel, comb, hair dryer
Bathing preparations:
1. For example, the water temperature of the shower head at home is unstable , you can prepare water with the right temperature in advance according to the dog's size and water consumption.
2. Choose a cleaning product suitable for dogs and carefully check the instructions for use of the bath liquid to dilute it in the correct ratio.
Steps for bathing:
1. After adjusting the water temperature, lower the shower head close to the skin to reduce the sound of water flowing, and start pouring water from the neck down. Then the legs, and finally the head.
2. When showering the head and face, first raise the dog's head, put the shower head close to the hair, and let the water slowly flow down the head. Avoid getting water into nose, eyes and ears.
3. After the dog is all wet, you can start to squeeze the anal glands, and then rinse off the dirt.
4. Spray the pre-diluted bath liquid on the dog's body, first on the back and limbs, and finally on the head, and gently rub to make the bath liquid fully foam. Dogs with thick coats can be rubbed with a bath brush.
5. Rinse the bath to avoid the residual chemical composition causing discomfort to the dog's skin.
6. After rinsing, prepare a few absorbent towels to wipe the dog's coat repeatedly. Drying the water as much as possible can effectively reduce the time of blowing.
7. When blowing hair, use the comb in the right hand to comb the back hair against the direction of the hair, and use the hair dryer in the left hand while combing and blowing the hair. The hair dryer should be kept at a certain distance and shaken up and down to avoid scalding the dog's skin.
Precautions for bathing:
1. The dog's anal glands do not need to be squeezed every time they bathe.
2. Long-haired dogs should be rubbed along the direction of hair growth to avoid knots.
3. When cleaning the eye area, apply the bath liquid to the bridge of the nose and gently rub it along the sides of the eyes.
4. There is no saying that 80% of the time is OK. Incomplete blowing can easily cause skin infections in dogs.
5. The resistance of puppies is very weak, and bathing can easily cause respiratory tract infections. You can only consider bathing them until the antibodies gradually take effect about seven days after all vaccinations are completed.
