Tooth growth cycle:

About 20 days: start to grow Teeth

4 to 6 weeks old: deciduous incisors are evenly long

approaching 2 months old: all deciduous teeth are flush, white, thin and pointed

2~ 4 months old: Replace the first primary incisors

5-6 months old: Replace the second and third primary incisors and primary canines

After 8 months: All permanent teeth are replaced , but it is not ruled out that there are individual dogs that will be later, and there are even examples of 2-year-old replacements

1-year-old: dogs have uniform permanent teeth, white and bright

Precautions for tooth replacement:

1. Calcium supplementation: Calcium is an important component of bones and teeth, and also participates in many physiological functions. The function of the neuromuscular system plays a vital role, but excessive calcium may cause the deciduous teeth to not fall out and form a double row of teeth, so calcium supplementation is more necessary during tooth replacement.

2. Grinding: It is the nature of dogs to chew and bite. During tooth replacement, they will be irritable because of the swelling and pain of the gums. In order to reduce the discomfort, you can prepare some teeth grinding bones not only to relieve anxiety, but also to clean the teeth. .

3. Oral hygiene: deciduous teeth and permanent teeth coexist during the replacement period, so you should pay more attention to oral hygiene. You can use mouthwash for dogs to remove oral bacteria while reducing the formation of dental calculus and plaque. Can prevent bad breath.
