If the temperature is higher than 35℃ in summer and lower than 9℃ in winter, the growth is very slow or even stopped. Carnation roots are fibrous roots, long-term water accumulation or high humidity in the soil or medium, and long-term high temperature on the leaf surface are not conducive to their normal growth and development. Naixin likes soils with good fertilization, ventilation and drainage, and heavy loam is preferred. The pH value of the soil suitable for its growth is 5.6~6.4.

There are two ways of reproduction of carnations: asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction. The germination temperature when the seeds are sown is maintained at about 20 degrees Celsius, and the time required for germination is ten to fifteen days. It takes 140 to 160 days after sowing to flower. The most suitable temperature for growth is 5 degrees Celsius to 20 degrees Celsius, and the maximum cannot exceed 30 degrees Celsius. Otherwise, the growth will stop, and in severe cases, it may lead to death. .
