1. Morphology of Bodhi tree
The linden tree is a large tree. It grows on other tree species when it is young. When it is an adult, the tree reaches a height of 15 to 25 meters and a diameter of 30 to 50 centimeters at breast height. The bark is gray, relatively smooth, with occasional fine longitudinal striations, and a broad crown. The leaves are leathery, triangular-oval, nine to seventeen centimeters in length, eight to twelve centimeters wide, dark green on the surface, relatively bright, and green on the back.
2. Habits of the linden tree
The linden tree likes light, high temperature and high humidity, grows rapidly at 25°C, and requires a temperature of about 12°C during winter. It is not resistant to frost; it is resistant to pollution The ability is strong, and the soil requirements are not strict, but fertile and loose slightly acidic sandy loam is better. Young linden forests grow rapidly in tropical regions (where there is plenty of moisture). China's Guangdong (coastal islands), Guangxi, and Yunnan (north to Jingdong, 400-630 meters above sea level) are mostly cultivated. Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Bhutan, Sikkim, Nepal, Pakistan and India are also distributed, mostly cultivated, but wild in the Himalayas, from Pakistan Rawalpindi to Bhutan.
3. Cultivation of the linden tree
The planting of the linden tree should choose a robust mother plant that is more than ten years old, and pick the red and black fruits in November, as if rubbing them , remove the dander on the surface, and then dry the seeds inside before planting. It is usually sown in sand bed, about ten days to germinate and unearthed. When half of the seeds have germinated, the straw can be uncovered, and water should be given every morning and evening to provide sufficient water.
