Feeding your dog's diet is important

Dogs are natural carnivores, but dogs eat a wide range of foods. In the wild, they occasionally eat grass, fruit and other plants, but dogs are still carnivores by nature. Domesticated dogs have access to food differently than their ancestors, and their food choices have changed, but their inherent eating habits remain the same.

Some dogs are not picky eaters, while others, especially those giant and miniature dogs, are extremely picky eaters. Dogs prefer meat over grain, and they may prefer a certain type of meat, such as beef. They love a variety of flavors and especially prefer sweet and salty foods. The smell of the food is also important because it affects their appetite.

Most dogs will be happy to eat the same food every day. If their diet is balanced and nutritious, then this eating habit is reasonable. But many dogs still like to eat a variety of food, even if they can't adapt to the new food at first and even develop diarrhea. So, the new food you choose for him should preferably be the same type of food they normally eat.

Most dogs eat one meal a day, but they adapt quickly if the frequency of feedings is changed. In the wild, dogs may only get one meal a few days, and even then, most dogs prefer multiple meals a day. No matter how many times a day you feed your dog, as long as the food intake meets his energy needs and the food is well-balanced and plentiful, you can keep your dog healthy.

Most dogs will overeat if you feed them unrestrictedly, but this varies from dog to dog. The dog's habit of overeating may have something to do with its previous life in the wild -- when they might not be able to catch prey for days. So, when they eat, they defend their food, even against animals that are stronger than them. At home, you should train your dog to let go of food he can't eat from an early age. Still, you should not allow children to approach a dog that is eating or chewing on a bone.         Dogs will not say that they are full. ok.
