Originally from the cold zone of the Arctic Circle, the huskies are active and hard-working. They are often used as working dogs and have played a great role in fighting cold and famine to capture food. It is a dog breed bred by the indigenous Samoyed people of Siberia. Alert, strong, agile, beautiful, elegant, well-behaved and lovable, with a very striking appearance. Although the living environment is different, the two look alike, and it is easy to confuse them if you are not careful.
1. Height and size
Eskimo dog: divided into three types, small 23-31 cm, medium 31-38 cm, large 38-48 cm. Samoyed: 53-60 cm for adult males; 48-53 cm for adult females.
2. Features
Eskimo Dog: wide and flat, the length does not exceed the length of the skull, slightly shorter. A true Samoyed's eyes are American almond-shaped. Samoyed ears are relatively small. Samoyed: There is a certain thickness, medium length and width, the corners of the mouth are raised, like a smile. Huskies are generally rounder than almonds. Huskies are larger than Samoyeds. Samoyeds have smaller noses than huskies.
3. Coat
Eskimo: The inner coat is short and dense. The outer coat is straight and not curly, the long hair on the neck forms a distinct ring scarf, and the tail hair is long and fluffy. Samoyed: The undercoat is short and soft like wool, and the top coat is thicker and longer. Grows perpendicular to the body, but not curled.
