dogs that ate 25% less food lived 50% longer

For dogs For dogs, eating less and more meals is very healthy:

In order to verify the correct diet for dogs, an experiment was done. The experiment was designed as follows: 48 2-week-old dogs were divided into two groups. One group ate 1745 ± 46 kcal per day, while the other group ate 25% less, with 1352 ± 34 kcal per day. And then kept in a dog pen. The trial lasted 14 years, until the last dog died.

(Because of the long time and high cost, at the end of the trial, half of the people who participated in the trial reached retirement age. So this is a rare trial.)

The test results are as follows:

1. Dogs that eat less than 25% of their food every day have no difference from the other group of dogs in terms of happiness and activity. At the same time, the weight of dogs that ate less was 20% lighter than that of dogs that ate full;

2. In the first 5 years, there was no difference between the two groups of dogs. After 5 years, the difference came out: the dogs that were full, began to develop obesity, osteoporosis, diabetes, and by the 7th year, the dogs showed rapid aging and died one after another. But dogs that don't get enough to eat are still very healthy, and their aging appears several years later.

3. In the end, the dogs who eat 25% less will live 50% longer, and the average life expectancy is 1.5 times that of the dogs who eat full. And the quality of life of these dogs in later years is much better than that of well-fed dogs.

So it is recommended that you try to keep your dog 80% full. The concept of a dog's 80% fullness is: stop eating after the orgasm, stop when you want to fill another bowl of rice, pat your stomach, and feel that you are not finished. Of course, dogs of different ages require different calories and nutrients.
