Nowadays, I often see news photos of pets on the Internet. Those cute pets have turned many netizens over. Those cute and funny animals not only bring us For the joy, maybe more people are fascinated by them, and the darling chooses to keep one. The editor was so fascinated by them that I wanted to adopt a cat. So how can I choose a healthy cat?

How

First, it must be of good breed, strong physique, and good shape Choose among beautiful progeny. Take another look at the kitten's growth, whether it is lively, smart, healthy, has a good appetite, and has a glossy coat. Do not choose the smallest cat in a litter (i.e. weak cat) because it is weak, slow growing, prone to illness and difficult to feed.

Second, the signs of a healthy cat are:

1. Bright eyes, no tears, no secretions, and no inflammation;

2. The ears are clean, erect, with little or no earwax, and no other foreign objects;

3. The surrounding of the mouth should be clean and dry, free of saliva and food, and the teeth should be firm and pink , no ulcers;

4. Smooth coat, soft skin, no bald spots, lumps, no redness;

5. Anus and external genitalia should be clean and free of discharge , the nearby coat should not be stained with fecal dirt;

6. The body muscles are firm and developed, and there is no rash. Don't choose kittens with runny noses and tears.

Healthy cats are sensitive to the owner's call or other sounds in a quiet state, and their ears sway back and forth after hearing the sound. Sick or deaf cats do not respond to sound. When a kitten is selected, you should try to call it to see if the cat responds. If the kitten is easily frightened or grins, watch carefully for discomfort, fear of a new owner, or discomfort in a new environment.

Third, learn to identify the cat's age. In general, deciduous teeth begin to grow in the 2-3 weeks after birth, and deciduous teeth will grow in 2-3 months, and begin to change teeth. By 6 months, all permanent incisors will grow. The mandibular incisors began to wear after 1 year, the canines began to wear after 5 years, the mandibular incisors became round after 7 years, and the upper collar incisors became round after 10 years. The age of the cat can also be roughly identified based on the growth of the hair and the change in the color of the hair. Six months after the cat is born, new hair grows to indicate adulthood; six or seven years later, it enters middle age, when white whiskers grow on its mouth; in old age, white hair grows on its head and back.
