The mortality rate of heatstroke is high, because severe heatstroke can cause death of chinchillas due to organ failure.

As we all know, chinchillas cannot survive in an environment above 30 degrees Celsius, our suggestion is not to exceed 27 degrees Celsius, so the key to feeding chinchillas in summer is to cool chinchillas.

Tips for cooling down the Chinchilla in summer:

1. Air conditioner cooling:

The temperature is set at 22-25 degrees Celsius, the air conditioner is the most convenient and fast to cool down, and of course the cost is also the highest.

A typical wall-mounted air conditioner consumes one degree of electricity per hour, and it costs about 200 yuan per month.

2. Air conditioning fan to cool down:

The kind of fan with a water tank, you can place an ice box in the water tank to take away the heat through the evaporation of water.

The electricity is about one kilowatt per day, which is economical, but the air conditioner fan must not blow directly at the chinchilla.

3. Ice collapse to cool down:

Place an ice box in a metal box. The ice box should be frozen for 12 hours before it is ready to use. Prepare at least 2 sets, and replace one set with the other. . When using, wrap the ice box with an absorbent towel to prevent condensation.

Ice collapse cooling is very effective after practice and can be recycled, especially suitable for environments where there is no one at home and it is impossible to turn on the air conditioner for a long time.

4. Install the metal plate:

The metal has a strong thermal conductivity, and the chinchilla lies on it, which can conduct heat to the metal plate, and dissipate heat through contact with the air.

However, this method is not very effective when the temperature is too high.
