The original name of the lop-eared rabbit is LOP, and it is known as the Bunny in Hong Kong. The biggest difference between the lop-eared rabbit and other rabbits is in the ears. The two ears of the lop-eared rabbit are naturally drooping. Lop-eared rabbits come in solid colors such as black, white, and yellow, as well as a wide variety of coat colors such as chinchilla, variegated, and orange and white.
There are 5 species of purebred lop rabbits currently recognized by ARBA, including Holland Lop (translated as Dutch) Lop or short-haired lop), American Fuzzy Lop (translated as American Fess lop or long-haired lop), Mini Lop (small lop) , French Lop (French Lop) and England Lop (English Lop). Among them, the British Lop and the French Lop are relatively large, the Dutch Lop and the Long-haired Lop are small rabbits, and the Mini Lop is a medium-sized rabbit.
The lop pet rabbits that have swept the world in recent years are mostly Dutch lops, not Mini lop. The size of the Dutch lop is smaller than that of the Mini lop, and the adult rabbit weighs less than 5 catties. Speaking of the origin of this kind of rabbit, it can be traced back to 1949, when a Frenchman named Adrian De Cock began to try to breed mini lop rabbits. French lop rabbits mate to give birth to a reduced version of the French lop. It wasn't until 1980 that the Dutch pet rabbit was finally recognized by the ARBA.
Mini Lops are not only cute in appearance, but also very docile in character. That's it, they need your double love~
