    1. Quiet in the daytime and good food in the evening. The living habits of rabbits are close to those of rats. Lying quietly in the cage during the day, very active at night, and eating a lot of food, it is observed that the food intake at night accounts for more than 70% of the whole day. Under certain conditions, meat rabbits can easily enter a state of drowsiness or sleep, when the feeling decreases or even disappears. For example, laying the rabbit on its side or with the four glues facing up in a U shape, and then gently stroking the hair with the hand, or pressing the temple, the meat rabbit will fall asleep within a minute or two.

    2. Be timid and afraid. Rabbit is a timid animal, panicked by sudden noises, strangers and unfamiliar animals such as cats and dogs. In feeding and management, try to avoid sounds that cause rabbits to panic, and at the same time prohibit strangers, cats and dogs from entering the rabbit house.

    3. Hate hot and humid, and like dry environment. The sweat glands of rabbits are not developed, and they mainly rely on breathing to dissipate heat. Therefore, long-term exposure to high temperature (above 35°C) in a humid environment will cause a large number of deaths. Experiments have shown that the ideal environment temperature for adult rabbits is 14-20℃, and the temperature in the nest of newborn rabbits is 30-32℃. Drying and cleaning are very beneficial to the health of rabbits. Rabbits are also very hygienic, often washing their faces with their front paws, and positioning at three points for eating, shitting, urinating and saliva. When the rabbit's anus, mouth, and nose are not clean, it means that the rabbit is sick, and the cause should be found out as soon as possible, and symptomatic treatment should be given.

    4. Not gregarious, good to live alone. Rabbits live alone under natural conditions. Only together during mating season. Both male and female rabbits and rabbits of the same sex often fight together, causing trauma, such as biting off ears or testicles. Therefore, rabbits should be reared in a single cage.

    5. Good food. Rabbit's front teeth are permanent teeth that grow regularly. If the soft material is often fed, the rabbit will naturally chew on the wooden cage and other objects to maintain the proper tooth length. Therefore, some branches should be put into the rabbit cage. When making the rabbit cage, try not to leave any edges and corners, so that the rabbit cannot bite, so as to prolong the service life of the rabbit cage.
