The American rex rabbit can be used as the first-generation female parent, and the German or French rex rabbit can be used as the first-generation male parent for crossbreeding; Rex rabbits were crossed, and the ternary hybrid progeny were used for direct fattening. It has been proved by a large number of production practices that its production effect is better than that of the offspring of purebred Rex rabbits.

(2) It is necessary to grasp the early weight gain of Rex rabbits. The differentiation of hair follicles of Rex rabbits is proportional to the increase of body weight. That is, the greater the weight, the greater the density of the hair follicles. Because the differentiation of hair follicles is mainly in the early stage, the weight gain of weaned rabbits should be grasped. Long-term production practice has proved that the uninterrupted growth of Rex rabbits before 3 months of age is very effective in improving the coat quality, weight and skin area of commercial Rex rabbits.

(3) Taking measures to promote and control Rex rabbits from weaning to 3 months or 3.5 months of age, care must be taken to ensure the nutritional level of Rex rabbits in feeding, allowing Rex rabbits to eat freely. Make full use of the characteristics of its rapid growth and development in the early stage, tap its genetic potential for growth, and let young rabbits eat more and grow faster. After that, its growth rate should be properly controlled. There are generally two methods to control the growth rate: one is the quality control method, and the other is the quantity control method. The fattening technology that promotes before and after control can not only save feed and reduce feeding costs, but also make the skin of fattening rabbits of good quality, and there will be no excess fat and connective tissue under the skin.

(4) Male rabbits should be castrated at the right time. The castration time of male rabbits is generally selected at 2.5 to 3 months of age, and the knife gelding method is the most practical.

(5) Feeding full-price feed, feeding should be scientific During the fattening period of Rex rabbits, in addition to meeting the needs of its main nutrients such as energy, protein and cellulose, feed additives should also be used. Such as rare earth elements, humic acid additives, antioxidants, enzyme preparations, microecological preparations, etc., they have certain effects on the healthy growth of Rex rabbits and the improvement of skin quality. To produce ideal rex rabbit skin, feed nutrition is the key factor, therefore, it is best to feed full-price pelleted feed.

(6) Provide a suitable living environment The temperature of the rabbit house is best kept at about 25 ℃; the humidity can be controlled at 55% to 65%; the stocking density in the house should not be too high, and a small Breeding in groups can make the coat smooth and bright.

(7) Timely slaughtering Generally, under normal circumstances, the rabbits can be slaughtered when they are 5 months old and their weight reaches 2.5-3 kg.
