How

1. From birth to weaning, the puppy is about 45 days old

Main attention during this period: keep warm , Anti-stress, eat enough colostrum. (Newborn puppies cannot produce antibodies in their bodies, so they should eat as much colostrum as possible.)

Second, pay attention to development

Most It is good to weigh regularly. Generally, within 5 days after the puppy is born, the average daily weight gain is about 50 grams, and in 6 to 10 days, the daily weight gain is about 70 grams. After 11 days, if the breast milk is insufficient, the weight of the puppy will increase. The speed may decrease, and regular weighing can be used to understand the mother's lactation ability from the change in weight, so as to decide whether to artificially supplement the milk.

Milk supplementation: mainly fresh milk or special goat milk powder. After being sterilized by boiling, it should be fed with a feeding bottle at a temperature of 20-30 degrees Celsius.

Milk supply: within 15 days, each milk supply is 50 ml. 100ml of milk supplement on 15-20 days. After 20 days, supplement milk with 200 ml.

3-4 times a day. (If there is no fresh milk, milk powder can be used instead.)

3. After the puppy is born

In the first 4 days after birth, it is necessary to check frequently and be careful The mother dog crushes the puppy. After 5 days, when the weather is warm and windy, take the puppy outdoors and bask in the sun with the dog mother, usually twice a day, about half an hour each time. Make it to breathe fresh air, use the ultraviolet rays in the sun, kill the bacteria on the body, and promote the development of bones, so as to avoid getting sick. When you can walk, you can go outside for a walk, starting with a short time and gradually lengthening it later.

About 13 days after birth, the puppy can open its eyes. At this time, it is necessary to avoid strong light stimulation to avoid damage to the puppy's eyes.

After 9-13 days of eye opening, milk can be poured into a food tray for licking. (Some puppies will not lick themselves even though their eyes are open.)

About 20 days, a small amount of rice soup and porridge can be added to the milk.

After 20 days, when the weather is fine, let the mother dog take the puppy to the yard (provided you have a yard) for activities. The time is not limited, and you can go back to the room at night or on a rainy day. If the puppy gets wet from the rain, dry it immediately with a dry towel. Pay attention to keep warm to prevent colds.

The puppy's toenails can be trimmed once every 20 days to prevent the puppy from scratching the mother dog's breast while feeding.

After 25 days, you can add some broth and vegetable soup, and the amount can be gradually increased to about 200 ml. Be careful not to be greasy and salty.

After 30 days, you can add minced cooked lean meat, 15-20 grams each time. After 35 days, the amount can be increased.

At 30 days, deworm the puppy with deworming medicine, and then deworm it once a month.

Weaning can be done in about 35 days, depending on the physical condition and actual situation.

Note: Milk, eggs, minced meat, pasta or rice can be mixed together to form semi-solid food, and appropriate amount of fish liver oil and bone meal can be added. 4-5 times a day. The puppy is easy to get dirty things, and the mother dog will lick it at any time at first, but it doesn't matter when it is older, and someone needs to wipe and bathe them frequently, once every 2-3 days.
