Due to the large size of the red rose spider, when choosing a breeding box, you cannot only focus on the appearance of the box. The size of the box is the most important, and a large enough breeding box (usually 50×30×30cm) should be provided.

Place 5~ 10 cm of clean sand or vermiculite. Like other animals living in deserts, they do not need relatively high humidity (usually around 70%, at least 40% or more). The method is to place a shallow and stable small dish with a moist sponge in it, which can adjust the temperature and humidity in the rearing box, and can also absorb spider excrement. You must also provide some shelter for it to hide, which can be done using tree branches or coconut shells. It is best to choose a large fish tank for the breeding box, with bonsai arranged in it for easy appreciation.

Each Chilean red rose should be raised independently in a covered breeding box, and the substrate can be covered with cactus mud with more sand (can be purchased at the flower and bird market, if not available, other soils can be used) Or use river sand directly, but the river sand should be used after disinfection), or use sand mixed with sterile soil, lay it two to four inches thick and compact, and place tree holes or small flower pots in the breeding box as its hiding place , and a water dish to provide water.

Requirements for temperature and humidity: The humidity for raising Chilean red roses should be low, suitable for humidity of about 70% or below; the suitable temperature is about 25-27 degrees Celsius, and the temperature can be lowered by about 3-5 degrees at night. In winter, electric blankets can be used for heating (except for individual differences, because spiders do not like light, it is not recommended to use lamps for heating), and in summer, no thermal insulation equipment is required.
