In order to understand the fennec fox clearly, the appearance characteristics of the fennec fox must be clearly grasped, so what kind of appearance characteristics does the fennec fox have?
Fenesh fox
The fennec fox is the smallest fox, with an average weight of 1 kg. Ears are about 10-15 cm long, and a pair of large ears is probably the most recognizable feature. Small snout, large black eyes, and long, soft yellowish fur, good for camouflage in the desert. The facial coat is lighter in color, and the dark stripes under the inner eyes extend from the snout to the sides. The reddish tail hair is thick and bushy, with a black tip and a black patch at the base (base). The North African fennec fox has slender limbs, pale yellow and reddish, and almost completely white limbs further south.
The adult female fox weighs 0.8 kg and the male fox weighs 1.5 kg, which is slightly smaller than the average domestic cat. The body length is 30-40 cm (excluding the tail), and the tail is 18-30 cm long, accounting for nearly 60% of the body length. The standing shoulder height is 18-22 cm, which is significantly lower than that of other African foxes (generally 30 cm at the shoulder). It is unclear whether fennec foxes have a sexually dimorphic state.
Ears are the most recognizable feature. Adult foxes have thick and silky fur, with a tan back and white belly, legs, and inner ears. In contrast, juvenile fur is almost entirely white. Like most foxes, the fennec fox has black or dark brown glands under the tail fur, the same color as the tip of the tail. The snout and tentacles are black. Weak tooth, similar to big-eared fox.
