The Arizona Bark Scorpion is a light brown scorpion with a body length of 7 cm. It looks like a lute, and its body is covered with highly horny crusty skin with distinct body segments. The cephalothorax, consisting of six segments, is trapezoidal, covered with translucent hard armor on the back, a pair of black middle eyes in the center of the back, 3 lateral eyes on each side of the front end, and 6 appendages, the first pair is for feeding The functional whole limbs, the second pair are long and thick horns shaped like crab claws, which can prey, touch and defend functions, and the other four pairs are walking feet. The mouth is located at the bottom of the ventral front cavity. Male and female, slightly different in appearance. The anterior abdomen is wider and consists of 7 segments. The posterior abdomen is a flexible and narrow part, consisting of 5 somites and a tail spine. The first section has a genitalia, which covers the genital opening. It is found in southwestern Arizona, New Mexico and the California coast of the Colorado River, northern Sonora, and southeastern Utah.
