There is such a habit in China that women have to confine themselves after giving birth, because at this time, the mother has just given birth to a child, and her body is particularly fragile. There are many things that need to be paid attention to, and nutrition must be supplemented. In fact, little pets are the same. Chinchillas mothers need special care from their owners after giving birth to chinchillas. So how should we take care of the mother and baby chinchillas who have just given birth?

How

Beige Chinchilla

First of all, after the baby chinchilla is born, the owner should prepare a comfortable and warm living environment for it and Ma Ma. Then observe in time whether the fur of the chinchilla is completely dry. If it is dry, it means that the chinchilla is very healthy. If the fur has not dried for a long time, and the baby chinchilla makes a humming sound, then the owner should pay attention to keeping warm and adjust the ambient temperature to a higher level.

After giving birth, the owner must let Chinchilla Mama live alone with the baby, because Chinchilla Baba will cause varying degrees of influence and damage to the entire breastfeeding process, and they will be killed by the angry chinchilla. The mother expelled and ran around in the rat cage, so it was easy to hurt the young chinchillas. For the comfort of the whole chinchilla family, be sure to keep them separate as male and female chinchillas before giving birth.

In addition, the baby chinchilla will become playful and lively after opening its eyes. They will gnaw on cages and even get out of rat cages. Therefore, ordinary rat cages cannot hold young chinchillas. The owner needs to prepare a tighter rat cage to prevent the chinchilla from escaping. Then remove all the toys and springboards in the rat cage to prevent the little chinchilla from being naughty and falling.

In the first few days, the owner also needs to carry out the necessary supplementary feeding. Because, many chinchilla babies will have varying degrees of weight loss within a day or two after birth. This is mainly because the chinchilla mother needs a process to produce milk, and supplementary feeding is required at this time. Generally, artificial assisted feeding should be in 3-4 days under normal circumstances. When the weight of the little chinchilla stops declining, it means that it has received breast milk, and it is not necessary to supplement feeding at this time. However, if the chinchilla breeds more than 2 litter or the female chinchilla is old and frail, the owner should make a decisive decision to carry out artificial supplementary feeding to ensure the health of the chinchilla and the baby.
