1.Training Chihuahua dogs to be obedient

Dogs don’t understand what people say, don’t Understands the meaning of every word, but is very sensitive to human tone and gestures. Therefore, when pets train dogs to be obedient, they must use a firm tone and cooperate with hand movements. For example, a dog raised at home will bark when it hears someone moving outside the door. This is not only a kind of Bad manners, but also affect the rest of the family. At this time, you should immediately hold the dog's mouth with your hand, and at the same time use a very positive tone, shake your head and say no. After several pet trainings, it will understand that it is wrong to bark like this. Some dog owners dote on their dogs, do not take a firm tone to correct this situation, but gently stroke the dog with their hands and say softly don't be so naughty, which makes the dog easy to misunderstand that the owner is encouraging it. Whether it is praise or prohibition, it must be done on the spot;

2. Train Chihuahua dogs to defecate at a fixed location

Toy dogs live indoors most of the time, and if they defecate anywhere, they will bring them to their owners. A lot of troubles will not only affect hygiene, but also make people feel bored and lose confidence in raising dogs. Therefore, training dogs to defecate in a fixed place is very important for the hygiene of the family or social public places.

This type of dog training is best started with puppies. Because puppies have poor ability to control defecation before the age of 3-4 months, they will urinate anywhere after the bladder is full of urine, or when they encounter stimulation and disturbance.

The method of training is: put a bedpan in a certain place, put old newspapers in it, and put some sand or ash on it, and within a certain period of time (such as after feeding, after getting up in the morning, before going to bed at night) ) Lead the dog to a place with a potty. If the dog can defecate in the potty, the dog trainer should give the dog a petting gesture or food reward. Sometimes the dog does not necessarily have to defecate within this time, and it does not matter, let it go after a certain period of time. If you find that the dog does not defecate at the designated place, you should give it a severe reprimand after it is finished, let it know that you don't like it, and then take it to the designated place to defecate. After patient dog training and training, the dog can gradually develop the habit of urinating in a fixed place. In dog training, it should be noted that the potty cannot be moved, and some sand after the last defecation should be left, so that the dog can find the place to defecate by smell. In addition, when dogs go out, they have the habit of urinating on the side of the road to mark them. This is the nature of dogs, and it is necessary to distinguish them from urinating and urinating everywhere. However, on city streets, this habit of dogs is also harmful to hygiene. Therefore, when the dog owner leads the dog out, he must wear a collar and guide it with a leash. If you can train the dog to go to the toilet to defecate, it is the most ideal.

3. Train dogs to pose beautifully

At present, the exhibition and evaluation of famous dogs has been held in China, which puts forward more suggestions for dog lovers. high demands. In the evaluation, in addition to observing whether the dog's appearance is beautiful, the standing posture is also the key to winning. Therefore, it is usually necessary to train the dog to put on a good posture. For this reason, the dog's fear of falling can be used, and a small table or a raised wooden board can be used in a place with a small area and higher than the ground. First, hold the dog on the small table, let its hind legs be close to the edge of the small table, and let go of the hand. Because the dog is afraid of falling, its limbs become weak and want to lie down. At this time, we need to support its front with one hand. On the chest or chin, the other hand gently pulls the dog's tail back, being careful not to pull only the tail hair, so as not to cause pain. The hand holding the front chest is also pushed back together, so that the dog cannot sit down. When the dog finds that the back foot is about to lose its support, and when it is about to step back, it will instinctively lean forward and straighten up, the forelegs are solid, and the toes are tightened, showing a standard of straight limbs and high chest. posture. As long as this method is repeated many times, the dog can learn that even if it is standing on the flat ground, as long as we pull the tail and pull it back, the dog will reflexively assume a standard graceful posture.

4. Sit down

This is a part of training in combination with other subjects. The trained dog is required to sit down quickly and correctly after hearing the command, and to persist for a certain period of time.

During training, let the dog stand on the left side of the owner, while issuing the sit password, lift the collar with the right hand, and press the dog's waist with the left hand (see picture). When the dog is forced to sit down under this mechanical stimulation, it should be rewarded immediately. After repeated training, the dog can develop the action of sitting down. On this basis, combine gestures for training. If the person sits on the front, the right upper arm is stretched forward, the lower arm is vertical, and the palm is forward into an L shape; if the left side is seated, the left abdomen is patted with the left hand. If the dog has been able to do the sitting action, it should be gradually trained to extend the sitting time, from being able to sit for 3-5 seconds until it is extended to more than 5 minutes.

5. Lying down

The action of lying down should be performed after the sitting action has been learned. During training, two methods can be used: First, the owner is on the right side of the dog, facing the dog, holding the food with the right hand, slowly moving downward from the top of the dog's mouth, at the same time issuing the command to lie down, and pulling the leash downward. , to stimulate. At this time, under the food and mechanical stimulation, the dog can make the action of lying down. When the dog is lying down, it can be rewarded with food in time. Later, with the formation of conditioned reflexes, the rewards and stimuli are gradually cancelled. Another method is to let the dog down, the owner should squat down, hold the dog's two front limbs with both hands, stretch forward, and press the dog's shoulder blade with the left arm, the dog will be trained within a certain distance, combined with gestures, to Improve the level of its action, extend the command distance, and be able to lie down for more than 5 minutes according to the master's commands and gestures.

6. Standing

During training, first make the dog sit down, then gently pull on the leash, and issue a stand command and gesture ( The right arm is stretched out in the direction of the dog, the palm is up), when the dog stands, give a reward. The owner should gradually leave the dog's side to make the dog stand longer. On this basis, gradually develop the ability to stand by gestures or passwords and last for a certain period of time.

Chihuahua Training Considerations

Based on the standing movement. During training, the owner stands opposite the dog, first issue the stand password, when the dog stands firm, issue the thank you password, at the same time grab the dog's forelimb with one hand and swing it up and down. After repeating several times, give petting and food reward. Then keep a distance from the dog, and don't use your hands to assist when issuing the command. If the dog can't do it, repeat it several times until the dog can do it. At the beginning of the training, you can add some simple Gestures, but to prevent the dog's conditioned reflex to gestures. When the movement is stable, as long as the thank you password is issued, the series of reflex activities of standing and bowing will be completed in one go, without the need to issue the password twice.
