Friends who have raised huskies should know that nursing huskies cannot actively seek food, and it is not easy to estimate the milk volume of the mother dog, so how to judge whether the husky is full? This is an urgent problem for a first-time husky owner. In response to this question, the editor conducted a survey on several experienced pet friends, and concluded that the following phenomena can be indirectly judged whether the husky baby is full and whether the mother dog has sufficient milk.

1. Mental state

When the nursing husky baby is full and generally falls asleep peacefully, Sleeping deeply and deeply, the husky's body sometimes twitches involuntarily. On the contrary, the nursing husky baby still holds the nipple and refuses to relax after each feeding, or it takes a lot of effort when pumping, or sucks for a while, then spit out the nipple, whimper, and arch the bitch's breast, The husky baby is irritable and restless, indicating that the mother dog is not enough milk, and the husky baby is not full.

2. Tentative

After breastfeeding the husky baby, take the husky baby's lips to touch the bitch's nipple for testing, if the husky baby ignores it , indicating that they are full, on the contrary, the husky baby is still pursuing the nipple, indicating that it is not full.

3. Stool situation

Breastfeeding husky babies can defecate on their own at 16~20d after birth. Before this time, * the bitch licked the husky baby The perineum or lower abdomen will stimulate the husky baby to defecate, otherwise he will not be able to defecate. I am full. If the stool is green, mucus-like, less in amount, and more frequent, it means that the amount of milk is insufficient, and it is a sign that the husky baby is not full. Because hunger makes bowel movements faster, resulting in an increase in the number of stools, bile cannot be completely decomposed in the intestines, and the stool is green.

4. Weight change

The mother dog has enough milk, and the husky baby eats and drinks enough, and the weight will increase normally and develop well. If the milk supply is insufficient, the husky baby will not get enough to eat, and over time, it will affect the weight gain. Therefore, the hunger and fullness of the husky baby can also be reflected from the change in weight.

5. Observe the sucking|swallowing ratio

The swallowing action of the husky baby, and observing how many times the husky baby sucks and swallows can also judge whether the milk supply is sufficient. Can baby huskies eat enough? Generally, an average of 6 to 8 times of sucking should be swallowed once. If the husky baby sucks a lot and swallows less times (according to the above ratio), it means that the milk is insufficient, and the husky baby is not full, and needs to add milk or other supplementary food.
