Do you parents know how to choose a healthy Chinchilla? Let me introduce my personal experience for your reference.

A healthy chinchilla has eight criteria, the body is short and round, and there is no large area defect in the fur. Small areas of hair shortage may be moulted or rubbed off; grab the chinchilla's tail with the right hand and place it on the on the left arm. Blow on the back of the chinchilla, it is better that you can't see the skin after the fur is scattered, otherwise it means that the breed is not good:

You

1. Body shape

The body shape is short and round, and there is no large area defect in the fur, and the small area of hair shortage may be molted or rubbed off.

Look at the overall cat body: Chinchilla's body hair is thin, dense and uniform, and there is no exposed skin or human-like dandruff after blowing the cat body hair away with the mouth , Tail hair should be thin and stiff, no lack of hair and dandruff-like objects. (Note: Chinchillas that lack hair may have fungus or hair-biting disease, remember)

2. Color of the chinchilla

No matter what color of chinchilla, choose a lively and active nature. The running and jumping movements are flexible, and the walking does not shake or sway. This is healthy, and the active movement should not be too exaggerated. After normal play, it can be stopped. Do not have sudden hair bites, mania, crazy jumping, biting cages and other phenomena. Usually, chinchillas sleep during the day. Like a timid chinchilla, when a stranger is approaching, it will panic, squeak from time to time, and sometimes even lose hair because of fear. It is a normal phenomenon.

3. Eyes

There is no smear around the eyes of Chinchillas, no redness and swelling. Do not pick chinchillas with a lot of yellow-green eye stains, or redness around the eyes, as the eyes may be inflamed.
