1. Symptoms of white spot disease: fish will have white spots with a diameter of less than 1mm on the whole body, and they must be It will spread from the fins to the whole body. If it is not treated, it will gradually weaken and die soon. This is a typical symptom of freshwater fish. Although the incidence of guppies is not much, it does not mean that there will be no disease at all, so it should not be careless. Cause: The disease caused by the parasites of ciliates such as white spot worms, and the white spots on the body surface are the parasites themselves. The outer epidermis of the parasite is also white, and the more white spots, the more serious the parasitic state.
Treatment: The causative agent of white spot disease is a kind of ciliate called cucurbita, which is a parasitic disease. When the water temperature rises to 28°C, the small melon worms will stop developing and even die gradually. Therefore, when it is found that the guppy has white spot disease, it can be treated by changing the water and adding salt to warm it, that is, first change half of the water, then add 3 grams/liter of sea salt according to the volume of the feeding water, and finally increase the water temperature to 30-32 ℃, generally 3-5 days after the effective.
2. Symptoms of rotten tail syndrome: yellow-white sticky matter attached to the tail fin. Soon, it spreads to the fins and gradually erodes. Especially when the disease progresses, the fins will be rotten, or even the caudal fins will be broken. As a result, the appetite is greatly reduced, and soon even the muscles are invaded and weakened to death, so it is necessary to treat it early, and it is characterized by more male fish. Reason: Caused by Aeromonas infection, the infection route is wound, and most of the injuries are caused by fighting between fish and rough contact.
Treatment method: soak in 3% saline for 10 minutes, 1-2 times a day, and keep the feeding water in good condition, the necrotic tissue will fall off naturally after a few days.
3. Saprolegnia symptoms: alias mouth rot, cotton disease, but the name is Saprolegnia. This is the saprolegnia parasitic on the surface of the body and it is white like cotton, and soon spreads to the whole body and rots the skin, especially when the disease progresses, the prosperous part of the saprolegnia may rot and fall off. In the middle stage of the disease, they will lose their appetite, swim less active, and will soon die. Cause: wounds on the body surface or wounds caused by parasites such as anchor worms, fish lice, etc., and secondary diseases caused by the growth of fungi of the Saprolegnia family. Most of the fungi are imported from guppies.
4. Symptoms of pine cone disease: The scales on the whole body stand up on the fish body, and the whole body will be full. The name of the disease is because it looks like a pine cone. If the disease progresses, the scales of the fish will peel off, so they can no longer swim and die. Cause: Caused by infection with wild ramimonas bacteria.
5. Symptoms of Mouth Rot: White cotton-like appearance around the mouth or near the cheeks and can no longer eat. Soon, it will weaken and die. Cause: As with unfinished tail disease, the bacterial infection of Karamnis is the cause. Enter the new infection symptoms brought by the guppy: swollen gills and barely breathing in the water surface pain, and closing the tail fins and shaking their heads from time to time, doing unnatural swimming movements, and soon, the fish body became cloudy and weakened and died. Reason: Bacteria brought in by imported guppies are infectious factors. Once infected fish are found, they must be isolated from other tanks immediately. In the early stage, only changing the water or adding salt water can also improve.
Treatment: A medicated bath with some commercially available antiseptics will improve in most cases. If it still cannot be cured, the reason may be that some factors that lead to bacterial infection have not been eliminated, such as the water temperature is too low, the dead fish have not been fished out, etc. Those suffering from water mold disease may need to pay attention to the water quality. They should remove dead fish or residual bait and change the water as soon as possible. For pine bulb disease, priority may be given to improving the water quality. The medicated bath removes the pathogens in the water. After the fish has more appetite, use Bacterial bait feeding. As for fish with rotten fins, rotten tails and other external symptoms, changing the water and taking medicated baths can also improve the situation.
6.VC deficiency: It is relatively common, mainly manifested as loss of appetite, slow growth, abnormal body shape, slow swimming, etc. In severe cases, even mammal-like symptoms of scurvy appear. The symptoms of vc deficiency in various fish are different, but most of them lead to poor growth, low immunity, and low feed conversion rate. The typical vc deficiency in shrimp is the Black Death, that is, slow wound healing, black ulceration under the shell, and a large number of deaths. It is also prone to symptoms such as soft shells, prolonged molting cycle, white turbid muscles, and turbid gills. Long-term consumption of VC ornamental fish feed can avoid the above problems and improve resistance.
