The black thrush (scientific name: Turdus merula) is a bird of the family Thrush, distributed in Europe, Africa, Asia, and often inhabits the periphery of forest areas, small towns and villages Margins, even melon fields, are also found on plains, garden beds, trees, and sometimes foraging near garbage dumps and toilets. The male black thrush is generally black, dark-brown, or ebony, with some rust or gray. The upper body including the wings and tail feathers are black. Often run in small groups on the ground, and often go to garbage dumps and toilets to find food. Before perching on the branches, it often makes short and short calls of “squeak, squeak”, the singing is bright and pleasant, and it is good at imitating other bird songs. Timid, sharp-eyed, and sensitive to the outside world, it will fly away from its original habitat when frightened at night. Mainly feed on insects. The food they eat is Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Orthoptera, Diptera, Coleoptera, Orthoptera and larvae. Also eat camphor seeds (the seeds are spit out after eating), figs and other fruits, and plants such as weed seeds.
