The body hair is glossy and tactile like silk, neither long nor short, and the tail hair is soft and fluffy. It first arrived in the United States in 1963, made a comeback, reappeared in various cat shows, and was once again favored by people. Its standard was established in 1970 and recognized by numerous cat associations. The Angora cat is one of the oldest breeds, originating from Turkey.
