The tiger snake is not a protected animal, it is an exotic species.
Tiger snakes are widely distributed, inhabiting rain forests, wet sclerophyte, dry sclerophyte, and wet woodlands. It has a wide range of diets, mainly rodents, but also fish, frogs, reptiles, and birds. While basically tiger snakes are active during the day, they also often prey on frogs on warm summer nights.

Tiger snake likes to sunbathe in the sun, usually at 10 am— around 12 o'clock. When sunbathing, they usually lie on the grass on the ground or wrap around or on tree trunks. There are also those with half of their bodies exposed outside the entrance of the cave and curled up outside the pile of stones, and their postures change many times.
