The ball python is a small python in Africa. They are generally about one meter in length, and some larger ones can reach 1.5 meters in length. The largest specimen found now is 1.82 meters.

After proper feeding, the transverse fold of the body of the ball python will become a fine circle . Like all other pythons and boas, ball pythons have remnants of their hind limbs. The remnant hind limbs appear on both sides of the anus. Male ball pythons have longer residual hind limbs than females, and male ball pythons have smaller heads than females.
