Tentacle snakes are usually petite in size, about 20 to 35 inches long, or 50 to 90 centimeters. They are not extinct in South Asia, but little known. In scientific circles, tentacled snakes belong to the genus of tentacled fishing snakes, and are the only snakes with tentacles on their noses.
