Paradise snakes need more space in their cages. Requires a lot of plants and thin climbing branches, damp substrate such as coconut fiber or similar. A bowl of water is required in the terrarium, a fluorescent lamp that may need to be on for a few hours, and a mild hot plate. 26–29 °C day temperature, 22–24 °C night, humidity 70–80 %.

Food can be prepared for lizards, rodents, young birds, female paradise golden Flower snakes can be fed to rats (the strong fur can stimulate the digestive system), and male paradise golden snakes take longer to get used to the rats.
