The white-striped brocade snake has been included in the list of terrestrial wild animals protected by the state that are beneficial or have important economic and scientific research value issued by the State Forestry Administration of China on August 1, 2000. It has been included in the China Biodiversity Red List - Vertebrate Volume, and the assessment level is low risk (LC).

The white-striped snake is a non-venomous snake widely distributed in northern China. Strong vitality, resistant to hunger and thirst. The temperament is more docile and the action is slower. Kill birds, lizards and small rodents for food. It has a strong ability to withstand hunger, and has a record of 18 months of hunger. Be included in the list of beneficial or terrestrial wild animals with important economic and scientific research value protected by the state.
