The black mamba can weigh up to 4kg.

The black mamba is slender and slender, with an average weight of 1.6 kg; adult snakes living in different regions are 2.0-3.0 meters long, with an average length of 2.2-2.7 meters. It is reported that rare individuals with a body length of 4.3 or even 4.5 meters have been found in India.

The black mamba has a rectangular head and a body color of Olive, brown, grey or sometimes khaki. The larvae are lighter in color and are mainly bright gray or olive green. The underparts of the black mamba are white or cream, sometimes mixed with green or yellow. The rear half of the body may have black spots, and some individuals have alternating shades of black near the rear.
