The blunt-tailed two-headed snake is about 35 cm long. No nasal, buccal and temporal scales. 4 upper lip scales, 5 lower lip scales, 1 anterior scale, and 1 posterior eye. The dorsal scales are smooth. 13 lines in the whole body. Anal scales intact. Two rows of scales under the tail. The tail is thick and blunt with yellow markings. The shape, thickness and pattern of the tail are similar to those of the head, and there are similar yellow spots. At first glance, it looks like a head at both ends.

The blunt-tailed two-headed snake mostly lives in the plains and high mountains. It is not poisonous, so it will not hurt people. Its body color can be divided into two categories, one is gray-black on the back, the outer edge of the scales is black, forming a reticulate pattern, the other is gray-brown on the back, the black edge of the scales is slightly lighter, and there are 6 rows of scales in the center of the back. There are black dots about half a scale, 2 rows wide, vertically and horizontally, arranged in 3 vertical lines. The ventral surface is orange-red, with scattered scattered black spots, and there is a black line in the center of the ventral surface of the tail.
